The DermoGenius Ultra, a computer aided digital dermoscopic system for the imaging and analysis of moles and a diagnostic aid in the detection of melanoma, is now in use at Pocono Medical Care Advanced Dermatology’s Skin Cancer Imaging Center.

The DermoGenius Ultra is a self-contained digital system that captures high-resolution dermoscopic images of moles. More importantly, these images are digitally analyzed and compared to a database of normal moles, dysplastic moles and melanomas. A score is generated indicating the potential of a mole being benign or a malignant, facilitating early detection of melanoma. DermoGenius can also assist physicians in minimizing the number of moles excised unnecessarily by helping physicians to recognize benign moles.
